A troubled seer crieth over violence and wrong when the wicked compass the righteous. The LORD revealeth a coming chastening by a fierce nation, yet also declareth that the just shall live by faith and that the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of His glory. The prophet trembleth, yet chooseth to rejoice in the God of his salvation, which strengtheneth believers to trust God’s wise providence in dark days.
