Who are Jehoahaz, Jehoiakim, and Jehoiachin in this passage?

These three men are sons and a grandson of Josiah who briefly rule Judah near the end of its history as a kingdom. After Josiah dies, the people make his son Jehoahaz king, but the king of Egypt soon removes him and carries him to Egypt. Egypt then sets another son, Eliakim, on the throne and renames him Jehoiakim. After Jehoiakim’s troubled reign, his son Jehoiachin rules for just over three months before the king of Babylon takes him away to Babylon.

And the king of Egypt put him down at Jerusalem, and condemned the land in an hundred talents of silver and a talent of gold.

And the king of Egypt made Eliakim his brother king over Judah and Jerusalem, and turned his name to Jehoiakim. And Necho took Jehoahaz his brother, and carried him to Egypt.

¶ Jehoiakim was twenty and five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem: and he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord his God.

Against him came up Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and bound him in fetters, to carry him to Babylon.
