This record sheweth the reigns of David’s son and the kings after him, from the glory and wisdom given of God unto Solomon, to the sins of idolatry, the dividing of the kingdom, and the rebukes of prophets. It revealeth how the LORD establisheth His word, blesseth obedience, and visiteth iniquity, that believers may cleave unto Him with a perfect heart in an evil day.
