This prophecy declareth the sure ruin of a cruel, bloody empire, and the righteous jealousy of the LORD against proud, violent, and idolatrous nations. Yet in the midst of wrath He revealeth Himself as good, a strong hold in the day of trouble, and One who knoweth them that trust in Him. Believers are warned to flee pride and oppression and are comforted that God will break every yoke and remember those who cleave unto Him.
