This prophecy was given in days of great idolatry, injustice, and coming captivity. The LORD declares certain judgment for sin, yet promises a righteous Ruler, gathering of the remnant, and full pardon for those who turn unto Him. It calls believers in every age to repent, to trust in His salvation, and to walk humbly with their God.
