This vision declares the LORD’s sure judgment against the proud foes of His people, who rejoiced in their calamity and lifted themselves up in cruelty. It warns all nations that as they have done, it shall be done unto them, yet comforts the faithful with the promise that upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, holiness, and a restored possession for the house of Jacob under the LORD’s kingdom.
