This epistle exalts the Lord Jesus as the eternal Son, the only true High Priest, and the mediator of a better covenant, set above angels, Moses, and all Levitical ordinances. It urges tried saints to leave dead works, to hold fast their profession, to run with patience by faith, and to seek the city which hath foundations, finding boldness and comfort in his once‑for‑all sacrifice and promised rest.
