This epistle setteth forth the gospel of God concerning his Son, shewing that all are under sin and that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. It declareth salvation by the blood of Christ, the gift of the Spirit, God’s purpose of mercy toward Jew and Gentile, and the holy walk of those who present their bodies a living sacrifice unto God.
