This book gathereth the visions, warnings, and consolations given in days of kings and captivity. It declareth the holiness of the LORD, the sure judgment upon idolatry and pride, and the sure mercy promised in a new covenant and a righteous Branch. It comforteth believers by shewing that though the LORD correcteth in measure, he will not make a full end, but will remember his people with everlasting love and restore them when they return unto him with their whole heart.
