عاموس ۱:۱

این است پیام عاموس، چوپانی که از روستای تقوع بود. دو سال پیش از زلزله، هنگامی‌که عُزیا، پادشاه یهودا بود و یربعام پسر یهوآش بر پادشاهی شمالی اسرائیل حکومت می‌کرد، خداوند این رؤیاها را به او نشان داد.
