TAOVBSI

நிலத்தினுடைய சகலவிதச் செடிகளும் பூமியின்மேல் இன்னும் உண்டாகவில்லை, நிலத்தினுடைய சகலவிதப் பூண்டுகளும் இன்னும் முளைக்கவில்லை; ஏனெனில் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் பூமியின்மேல் இன்னும் மழையைப் பெய்யப்பண்ணவில்லை; நிலத்தைப் பண்படுத்த மனுஷனும் இருந்ததில்லை.

Nilattiṉuṭaiya cakalavitac ceṭikaḷum pūmiyiṉmēl iṉṉum uṇṭākavillai, nilattiṉuṭaiya cakalavitap pūṇṭukaḷum iṉṉum muḷaikkavillai; ēṉeṉil tēvaṉākiya karttar pūmiyiṉmēl iṉṉum maḻaiyaip peyyappaṇṇavillai; nilattaip paṇpaṭutta maṉuṣaṉum iruntatillai.
All the plants of the earth had not yet grown on the earth, and all the plants of the earth had not yet sprouted; Because the Lord God has not yet caused rain to fall on the earth; There was no man to cultivate the land.

அப்பொழுது தேவன்: பூமியானது புல்லையும், விதையைப் பிறப்பிக்கும் பூண்டுகளையும், பூமியின்மேல் தங்களில் தங்கள் விதையையுடைய கனிகளைத் தங்கள் தங்கள் ஜாதியின்படியே கொடுக்கும் கனிவிருட்சங்களையும் முளைப்பிக்கக்கடவது என்றார்; அது அப்படியே ஆயிற்று.

Appoḻutu tēvaṉ: Pūmiyāṉatu pullaiyum, vitaiyaip piṟappikkum pūṇṭukaḷaiyum, pūmiyiṉmēl taṅkaḷil taṅkaḷ vitaiyaiyuṭaiya kaṉikaḷait taṅkaḷ taṅkaḷ jātiyiṉpaṭiyē koṭukkum kaṉiviruṭcaṅkaḷaiyum muḷaippikkakkaṭavatu eṉṟār; atu appaṭiyē āyiṟṟu.

Then God said: Let the earth bring forth grass, and the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding the fruit of its seed in itself according to its kind upon the earth; And so it was.

அப்பொழுது மூடுபனி பூமியிலிருந்து எழும்பி, பூமியையெல்லாம் நனைத்தது.

Appoḻutu mūṭupaṉi pūmiyiliruntu eḻumpi, pūmiyaiyellām naṉaittatu.

Then a mist arose from the earth and drenched the whole earth.

TAOVBSI

தேவரீர் பூமியை விசாரித்து அதற்கு நீர்ப்பாய்ச்சுகிறீர்; தண்ணீர் நிறைந்த தேவநதியினால் அதை மிகவும் செழிப்பாக்குகிறீர்; இப்படி நீர் அதைத் திருத்தி, அவர்களுக்குத் தானியத்தை விளைவிக்கிறீர்.

Tēvarīr pūmiyai vicārittu ataṟku nīrppāyccukiṟīr; taṇṇīr niṟainta tēvanatiyiṉāl atai mikavum ceḻippākkukiṟīr; ippaṭi nīr atait tirutti, avarkaḷukkut tāṉiyattai viḷaivikkiṟīr.

Lord God investigates the earth and waters it; You make it very prosperous with the divine river full of water; Thus you mend it and make them produce grain.

TAOVBSI

அதின் வரப்புகள் தணியத்தக்கதாய் அதின் படைச்சால்களுக்குத் தண்ணீர் இறைத்து, அதை மழைகளால் கரையப்பண்ணி, அதின் பயிரை ஆசீர்வதிக்கிறீர்.

Atiṉ varappukaḷ taṇiyattakkatāy atiṉ paṭaiccālkaḷukkut taṇṇīr iṟaittu, atai maḻaikaḷāl karaiyappaṇṇi, atiṉ payirai ācīrvatikkiṟīr.

Its bounties are inexhaustible. You water its banks, dissolve it with rains, and bless its crops.

TAOVBSI

அவரே பூமியைத் தம்முடைய வல்லமையினால் உண்டாக்கி, பூச்சக்கரத்தைத் தம்முடைய ஞானத்தினால் படைத்து, வானத்தைத் தம்முடைய அறிவினால் விரித்தார்.

Avarē pūmiyait tam'muṭaiya vallamaiyiṉāl uṇṭākki, pūccakkarattait tam'muṭaiya ñāṉattiṉāl paṭaittu, vāṉattait tam'muṭaiya aṟiviṉāl virittār.

He made the earth by His might, created the earth by His wisdom, and spread the heavens by His knowledge.

அவர் சத்தமிடுகையில் வானத்திலே திரளான தண்ணீர் உண்டாகிறது; அவர் பூமியின் கடையாந்தரத்திலிருந்து மேகங்களை எழும்பப்பண்ணி, மழையுடனே மின்னல்களை உண்டாக்கி, காற்றைத் தமது பண்டகசாலைகளிலிருந்து புறப்படப்பண்ணுகிறார்.

Avar cattamiṭukaiyil vāṉattilē tiraḷāṉa taṇṇīr uṇṭākiṟatu; avar pūmiyiṉ kaṭaiyāntarattiliruntu mēkaṅkaḷai eḻumpappaṇṇi, maḻaiyuṭaṉē miṉṉalkaḷai uṇṭākki, kāṟṟait tamatu paṇṭakacālaikaḷiliruntu puṟappaṭappaṇṇukiṟār.

When he roars, the sky is filled with water; He causes the clouds to rise from the ends of the earth, and the lightnings with the rain, and the wind to depart from his storehouses.
