A kad se ljudi počeše množiti na zemlji, i kćeri im se narodiše.
And when people began to multiply on earth, daughters were also born to them.

Видећи синови Божји кћери човечије како су лепе узимаше их за жене које хтеше.

Videći sinovi Božji kćeri čovečije kako su lepe uzimaše ih za žene koje hteše.

When the sons of God saw how beautiful the daughters of men were, they took them as wives they wanted.

А Господ рече: Неће се дух мој до века прети с људима, јер су тело; нека им још сто двадесет година.

A Gospod reče: Neće se duh moj do veka preti s ljudima, jer su telo; neka im još sto dvadeset godina.

And the Lord said: My spirit will never be threatened with men, because they are flesh; may they have another hundred and twenty years.

А беше тада дивова на земљи; а и после, кад се синови Божји састајаху са кћерима човечијим, па им оне рађаху синове; то беху силни људи, од старине на гласу.

A beše tada divova na zemlji; a i posle, kad se sinovi Božji sastajahu sa kćerima čovečijim, pa im one rađahu sinove; to behu silni ljudi, od starine na glasu.

And there were giants on earth then; and also afterwards, when the sons of God met with the daughters of men, and they bore them sons; those were mighty men, famous from ancient times.

И Господ видећи да је неваљалство људско велико на земљи, и да су све мисли срца њиховог свагда само зле,

I Gospod videći da je nevaljalstvo ljudsko veliko na zemlji, i da su sve misli srca njihovog svagda samo zle,

And the Lord seeing that human wickedness is great on earth, and that all the thoughts of their hearts are always only evil,

Покаја се Господ што је створио човека на земљи, и би му жао у срцу.

Pokaja se Gospod što je stvorio čoveka na zemlji, i bi mu žao u srcu.

The Lord repents that he created man on earth, and he would be sorry in his heart.

И рече Господ: Хоћу да истребим са земље људе, које сам створио, од човека до стоке и до ситне животиње и до птица небеских; јер се кајем што сам их створио.

I reče Gospod: Hoću da istrebim sa zemlje ljude, koje sam stvorio, od čoveka do stoke i do sitne životinje i do ptica nebeskih; jer se kajem što sam ih stvorio.

And the Lord said: I want to destroy the people I created from the earth, from man to livestock and to small animals and to birds of the sky; because I regret having created them.

Noah’s Favor with God

Али Ноје нађе милост пред Господом.

Ali Noje nađe milost pred Gospodom.

But Noah found grace before the Lord.

Ово су догађаји Нојеви: Ноје беше човек праведан и безазлен свог века; по вољи Божјој свагда живљаше Ноје.

Ovo su događaji Nojevi: Noje beše čovek pravedan i bezazlen svog veka; po volji Božjoj svagda življaše Noje.

These are the events of Noah: Noah was a just and harmless man of his age; according to the will of God, Noah always lived.

И роди Ноје три сина: Сима, Хама и Јафета.

I rodi Noje tri sina: Sima, Hama i Jafeta.

And Noah gave birth to three sons: Shem, Ham and Japheth.

А земља се поквари пред Богом, и напуни се земља безакоња.

A zemlja se pokvari pred Bogom, i napuni se zemlja bezakonja.

And the earth became corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with iniquity.

И погледа Бог на земљу, а она беше покварена; јер свако тело поквари пут свој на земљи.

I pogleda Bog na zemlju, a ona beše pokvarena; jer svako telo pokvari put svoj na zemlji.

And God looked at the earth, and it was corrupt; for all flesh corrupts its way on earth.

Preparing the Ark

И рече Бог Ноју: Крај сваком телу дође преда ме, јер напунише земљу безакоња; и ево хоћу да их затрем са земљом.

I reče Bog Noju: Kraj svakom telu dođe preda me, jer napuniše zemlju bezakonja; i evo hoću da ih zatrem sa zemljom.

And God said to Noah: The end of all flesh has come before me, because they have filled the earth with iniquity; and now I want to bury them in the ground.

Начини себи ковчег од дрвета гофера, и начини прегратке у ковчегу; и затопи га смолом изнутра и споља.

Načini sebi kovčeg od drveta gofera, i načini pregratke u kovčegu; i zatopi ga smolom iznutra i spolja.

Make yourself an ark of gopher wood, and make compartments in the ark; and cover it with resin inside and out.

И начини га овако; у дужину нека буде триста лаката, у ширину педесет лаката, и у висину тридесет лаката;

I načini ga ovako; u dužinu neka bude trista lakata, u širinu pedeset lakata, i u visinu trideset lakata;

And make it like this; the length shall be three hundred cubits, the width fifty cubits, and the height thirty cubits;

Пусти доста светлости у ковчег; и кров му сведи озго од лакта; и удари врата ковчегу са стране; и начини га на три боја: доњи, други и трећи.

Pusti dosta svetlosti u kovčeg; i krov mu svedi ozgo od lakta; i udari vrata kovčegu sa strane; i načini ga na tri boja: donji, drugi i treći.

Let plenty of light into the coffin; and lowered the roof above his elbow; and struck the door of the ark from the side; and make it of three colors: the bottom, the second, and the third.

Јер ево пустићу потоп на земљу да истребим свако тело у коме има жива душа под небом; шта је год на земљи све ће изгинути.

Jer evo pustiću potop na zemlju da istrebim svako telo u kome ima živa duša pod nebom; šta je god na zemlji sve će izginuti.

For behold, I will send a flood upon the earth to destroy every flesh in which there is a living soul under heaven; whatever is on earth will perish.

Али ћу с тобом учинити завет свој: и ући ћеш у ковчег ти и синови твоји и жена твоја и жене синова твојих с тобом.

Ali ću s tobom učiniti zavet svoj: i ući ćeš u kovčeg ti i sinovi tvoji i žena tvoja i žene sinova tvojih s tobom.

But I will make my covenant with you: and you and your sons and your wife and your sons' wives will go into the ark with you.

И од свега живог, од сваког тела, узећеш у ковчег по двоје, да сачуваш у животу са собом, а мушко и женско нека буде.

I od svega živog, od svakog tela, uzećeš u kovčeg po dvoje, da sačuvaš u životu sa sobom, a muško i žensko neka bude.

And of every living thing, of every body, you shall take two in the ark, to preserve in life with you, and let it be male and female.

Од птица по врстама њиховим, од стоке по врстама њеним, и од свега што се миче на земљи по врстама његовим, од свега по двоје нека уђе с тобом, да их сачуваш у животу.

Od ptica po vrstama njihovim, od stoke po vrstama njenim, i od svega što se miče na zemlji po vrstama njegovim, od svega po dvoje neka uđe s tobom, da ih sačuvaš u životu.

Of the birds according to their kinds, of the cattle according to their kinds, and of everything that moves on the earth according to its kinds, two of everything shall come in with you, that you may preserve them alive.

И узми са собом свега што се једе, и чувај код себе, да буде хране теби и њима.

I uzmi sa sobom svega što se jede, i čuvaj kod sebe, da bude hrane tebi i njima.

And take with you all that is eaten, and keep it with you, that there may be food for you and for them.

И Ноје учини, како му заповеди Бог, све онако учини.

I Noje učini, kako mu zapovedi Bog, sve onako učini.

And Noah did, as God commanded him, he did everything the same way.
