И сврши Бог до седмог дана дела своја, која учини; и почину у седми дан од свих дела својих, која учини;

I svrši Bog do sedmog dana dela svoja, koja učini; i počinu u sedmi dan od svih dela svojih, koja učini;

And God finished by the seventh day his work, which he had done; and he shall rest on the seventh day from all his works which he has done;

И благослови Бог седми дан, и посвети га, јер у тај дан почину од свих дела својих, која учини;

I blagoslovi Bog sedmi dan, i posveti ga, jer u taj dan počinu od svih dela svojih, koja učini;

And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it, because on that day they rest from all their works that they have done;

Man and Woman in the Garden

The First Man - Adam

То је постање неба и земље, кад посташе, кад Господ Бог створи земљу и небо,

To je postanje neba i zemlje, kad postaše, kad Gospod Bog stvori zemlju i nebo,

That is the creation of heaven and earth, when they came into being, when the Lord God created earth and heaven,

И сваку биљку пољску, докле је још не беше на земљи, и сваку травку пољску, докле још не ницаше; јер Господ Бог још не пусти дажда на земљу, нити беше човека да ради земљу,

I svaku biljku poljsku, dokle je još ne beše na zemlji, i svaku travku poljsku, dokle još ne nicaše; jer Gospod Bog još ne pusti dažda na zemlju, niti beše čoveka da radi zemlju,

And every plant of the field, until it was still on the ground, and every herb of the field, until it sprouted; because the Lord God had not yet let it rain on the earth, nor had there been a man to work the earth,

Али се подизаше пара са земље да натапа сву земљу.

Ali se podizaše para sa zemlje da natapa svu zemlju.

But steam rose from the earth to soak the whole earth.

А створи Господ Бог човека од праха земаљског, и дуну му у нос дух животни; и поста човек душа жива.

A stvori Gospod Bog čoveka od praha zemaljskog, i dunu mu u nos duh životni; i posta čovek duša živa.

And the Lord God created man from the dust of the earth, and breathed into his nose the spirit of life; and a living soul became a man.

God’s Garden - Tree of Life & Knowledge

И насади Господ Бог врт у Едему на истоку; и онде намести човека, ког створи.

I nasadi Gospod Bog vrt u Edemu na istoku; i onde namesti čoveka, kog stvori.

And the Lord God planted a garden in Eden in the east; and there he placed the man he had created.

И учини Господ Бог, те никоше из земље свакаква дрвећа лепа за гледање и добра за јело, и дрво од живота усред врта и дрво од знања добра и зла.

I učini Gospod Bog, te nikoše iz zemlje svakakva drveća lepa za gledanje i dobra za jelo, i drvo od života usred vrta i drvo od znanja dobra i zla.

And the Lord God made all kinds of trees that were beautiful to look at and good for food, and the tree of life in the middle of the garden and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil out of the land of Nikos.

А вода течаше из Едема натапајући врт, и оданде се дељаше у четири реке.

A voda tečaše iz Edema natapajući vrt, i odande se deljaše u četiri reke.

And water flowed from Eden, soaking the garden, and from there it divided into four rivers.

Једној је име Фисон, она тече око целе земље евилске, а онде има злата,

Jednoj je ime Fison, ona teče oko cele zemlje evilske, a onde ima zlata,

One is called Phison, it flows around the entire land of Evil, and there is gold there,

И злато је оне земље врло добро; онде има и бдела и драгог камена ониха.

I zlato je one zemlje vrlo dobro; onde ima i bdela i dragog kamena oniha.

And the gold of that country is very good; there are also videls and those precious stones.

А другој је реци име Геон, она тече око целе земље хуске.

A drugoj je reci ime Geon, ona teče oko cele zemlje huske.

And the other river is called Geon, it flows around the whole land of Huska.

А трећој је реци име Хидекел, она тече к асирској. А четврта је река Ефрат.

A trećoj je reci ime Hidekel, ona teče k asirskoj. A četvrta je reka Efrat.

And the name of the third river is Hidekel, it flows to the Assyrian river. And the fourth is the Euphrates River.

И узевши Господ Бог човека намести га у врту едемском, да га ради и да га чува.

I uzevši Gospod Bog čoveka namesti ga u vrtu edemskom, da ga radi i da ga čuva.

And the Lord God took man and placed him in the garden of Eden, to work it and to keep it.

И запрети Господ Бог човеку говорећи: Једи слободно са сваког дрвета у врту;

I zapreti Gospod Bog čoveku govoreći: Jedi slobodno sa svakog drveta u vrtu;

And the Lord God threatened the man, saying: Eat freely from every tree in the garden;

Али с дрвета од знања добра и зла, с њега не једи; јер у који дан окусиш с њега, умрећеш.

Ali s drveta od znanja dobra i zla, s njega ne jedi; jer u koji dan okusiš s njega, umrećeš.

But from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, do not eat from it; because the day you taste it, you will die.

The First Woman - Eve

И рече Господ Бог: Није добро да је човек сам; да му начиним друга према њему.

I reče Gospod Bog: Nije dobro da je čovek sam; da mu načinim druga prema njemu.

And the Lord God said: It is not good for man to be alone; to make friends for him.

Јер Господ Бог створи од земље све звери пољске и све птице небеске, и доведе к Адаму да види како ће коју назвати, па како Адам назове коју животињу онако да јој буде име;

Jer Gospod Bog stvori od zemlje sve zveri poljske i sve ptice nebeske, i dovede k Adamu da vidi kako će koju nazvati, pa kako Adam nazove koju životinju onako da joj bude ime;

Because the Lord God created from the earth all the beasts of the field and all the birds of the sky, and brought them to Adam to see what he would name, and how Adam would name what animal to be its name;

И Адам надеде име сваком живинчету и свакој птици небеској и свакој звери пољској; али се не нађе Адаму друг према њему.

I Adam nadede ime svakom živinčetu i svakoj ptici nebeskoj i svakoj zveri poljskoj; ali se ne nađe Adamu drug prema njemu.

And Adam gave a name to every fowl and every bird of the sky and every beast of the field; but there is no companion for Adam according to him.

И Господ Бог пусти тврд сан на Адама, те заспа; па му узе једно ребро, и место попуни месом;

I Gospod Bog pusti tvrd san na Adama, te zaspa; pa mu uze jedno rebro, i mesto popuni mesom;

And the Lord God sent a deep sleep on Adam, and he fell asleep; so he took one of his ribs, and filled the place with meat;

И Господ Бог створи жену од ребра, које узе Адаму, и доведе је к Адаму.

I Gospod Bog stvori ženu od rebra, koje uze Adamu, i dovede je k Adamu.

And the Lord God created a woman from a rib, which he took from Adam, and brought her to Adam.

А Адам рече: Сада ето кост од мојих кости, и тело од мог тела. Нека јој буде име човечица, јер је узета од човека.

A Adam reče: Sada eto kost od mojih kosti, i telo od mog tela. Neka joj bude ime čovečica, jer je uzeta od čoveka.

And Adam said: Now here is bone from my bones, and flesh from my flesh. Let her name be human, because she was taken from man.

Зато ће оставити човек оца свог и матер своју, и прилепиће се к жени својој, и биће двоје једно тело.

Zato će ostaviti čovek oca svog i mater svoju, i prilepiće se k ženi svojoj, i biće dvoje jedno telo.

Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.

Naked - Not Ashamed

А беху обоје голи. Адам и жена му, и не беше их срамота.

A behu oboje goli. Adam i žena mu, i ne beše ih sramota.

And they were both naked. Adam and his wife, and they were not ashamed.
