येशूले तिनीहरूलाई भन्‍नुभयो, “साँच्‍चै, म तिमीहरूलाई भन्दछु, जबसम्म तिमीहरूले मानिसको पुत्रको मासु खाँदैनौ र उसको रगत पिउँदैनौ, तबसम्म तिमीहरूमा जीवन हुँदैन।
 
Yēśūlē tinīharūlā'ī bhannubhayō, “sām̐ccai, ma timīharūlā'ī bhandachu, jabasam'ma timīharūlē mānisakō putrakō māsu khām̐dainau ra usakō ragata pi'um̐dainau, tabasam'ma timīharūmā jīvana hum̐daina.
Jesus said to them, “Truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you will not have life in you.

Yēśūlē javāpha dinubhayō, “phyā'urāharūkā ōḍāra chan ra ākāśakā carāharūkā gum̐ḍa chan, tara mānisakō putrakō nimti śira rākhnē ṭhā'um̐ pani chaina.”
Jesus answered, "The birds have nests and the birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head."

नष्‍ट हुने भोजनका निम्ति परिश्रम नगर। तर अनन्त जीवनसम्म रहिरहने भोजनको निम्ति परिश्रम गर, जुन भोजन तिमीहरूलाई मानिसको पुत्रले दिनेछ। परमेश्‍वर पिताले उसमाथि आफ्नो स्वीकृतिको छाप लगाउनुभएको छ।”
 
Naṣṭa hunē bhōjanakā nimti pariśrama nagara. Tara ananta jīvanasam'ma rahirahanē bhōjanakō nimti pariśrama gara, juna bhōjana timīharūlā'ī mānisakō putralē dinēcha. Paramēśvara pitālē usamāthi āphnō svīkr̥tikō chāpa lagā'unubha'ēkō cha.”
Do not labor for perishable food. But labor for the bread that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. God the Father has set his seal of approval upon him.”

जीवित रोटी म नै हुँ, जो स्वर्गबाट ओर्लेर आयो। यदि कसैले यो रोटी खायो भने त्यो सधैँभरि जिउनेछ। यो रोटी मेरो मासु हो, जो म संसारको जीवनका निम्ति दिनेछु।”
 
Jīvita rōṭī ma nai hum̐, jō svargabāṭa ōrlēra āyō. Yadi kasailē yō rōṭī khāyō bhanē tyō sadhaim̐bhari ji'unēcha. Yō rōṭī mērō māsu hō, jō ma sansārakō jīvanakā nimti dinēchu.”
I am the living bread, which came down from heaven. If anyone eats this bread, he will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.”
