MALOVBSI
God remembered Noah and all the living creatures and all the animals that were with him in the ark; God blew a wind upon the earth; The water stopped.
God remembered Noah and all the living creatures and all the animals that were with him in the ark; God blew a wind upon the earth; The water stopped.
The Ark Rests on Ararat
The Flood Subsides
God remembered Noah and all the living creatures and all the animals that were with him in the ark; God blew a wind upon the earth; The water stopped.
The fountains of the deep and the floodgates of heaven are closed; The rain from the sky also stopped.
The water was continually coming down from the earth; After one hundred and fifty days, the water began to recede.
On the seventeenth day of the seventh month the ark rested on Mount Ararat.
Until the tenth month the water continued to decrease; On the first day of the 10th month, the mountain peaks were visible.
Noah Sends a Raven and a Dove
After forty days, Noah opened the trap door he had made for the ark.
He released a crow; It went forth and came and went until the water on the earth dried up.
And he sent forth a dove from him, to know whether the waters had abated on the earth;
But the dove, finding no place to rest its feet, came back to him in the ark, because the water lay over all the earth; He reached out and took it and put it in the ark to him.
After seven days he again released the dove from the ark.
The dove came to him in the evening; And behold, in its mouth, a green olive tree; So Noah knew that the water on the earth was reduced.
And after seven days he released the dove; It did not return to him.
Exiting the Ark
In the six hundred and first year, on the first day of the first month, the water was dried up from the earth; Noah removed the roof of the ark and saw that the ground was dry.
On the twenty-seventh of the second month the land was dry.
God said to Noah:
Get out of the ark, you and your wife and your sons and your sons' wives.
Bring out all living things that dwell with you, birds and beasts and creeping things that creep on the ground; Let them multiply and multiply on the earth.
So Noah and his sons and his wife and his sons' wives went out.
All the animals, all the creeping things, all the birds, and all the earth's creatures came out of the ark one by one.
Noah Builds an Altar
Noah built an altar to Jehovah and took some of every clean animal and every clean bird and offered burnt offerings on the altar.
When Jehovah smelled the fragrance, Jehovah said in his heart: I will no longer curse the ground because of man. Man's mentality is bad from childhood; I will no longer destroy all living things as I did.
As long as the earth lasts, seed and harvest, cold and heat, summer and year, night and day will not cease.
