[] Kai evlogisen o Theos ton Noe kai tous yious aftou: kai eipe pros aftous, Afxanesthe kai plithynesthe, kai gemisate tin gin:
[] And God blessed Noah and his sons; and said unto them, Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth;

Covenant of the Rainbow
1 [] Και ευλογησεν ο Θεος τον Νωε και τους υιους αυτου· και ειπε προς αυτους, Αυξανεσθε και πληθυνεσθε, και γεμισατε την γην·
 
[] Kai evlogisen o Theos ton Noe kai tous yious aftou: kai eipe pros aftous, Afxanesthe kai plithynesthe, kai gemisate tin gin:
[] And God blessed Noah and his sons; and said unto them, Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth;
2 και ο φοβος σας και ο τρομος σας θελει εισθαι επι παντα τα ζωα της γης, και επι παντα τα πτηνα του ουρανου, επι παν ο, τι ερπει επι της γης, και επι παντας τους ιχθυας της θαλασσης· εις τας χειρας σας εδοθησαν·
 
kai o fovos sas kai o tromos sas thelei eisthai epi panta ta zoa tis gis, kai epi panta ta ptina tou ouranou, epi pan o, ti erpei epi tis gis, kai epi pantas tous ichthyas tis thalassis: eis tas cheiras sas edothisan:
and your fear and terror shall be upon all the beasts of the earth, and upon all the birds of the air, upon every creeping thing upon the earth, and upon all the fish of the sea: into your hands they have been given;
3 παν κινουμενον, το οποιον ζη, θελει εισθαι εις σας προς τροφην· ως τον χλωρον χορτον εδωκα τα παντα εις εσας·
 
pan kinoumenon, to opoion zi, thelei eisthai eis sas pros trofin: os ton chloron chorton edoka ta panta eis esas:
everything that moves, that lives, wants to be your food; like the green grass I have given everything to you;
4 κρεας ομως με την ζωην αυτου, με το αιμα αυτου, δεν θελετε φαγει·
 
kreas omos me tin zoin aftou, me to aima aftou, den thelete fagei:
but with his life, with his blood, you will not eat;
5 και εξαπαντος το αιμα σας, το αιμα της ζωης σας, θελω εκζητησει εκ της χειρος παντος ζωου θελω εκζητησει αυτο, και εκ της χειρος του ανθρωπου· εκ της χειρος παντος αδελφου αυτου θελω εκζητησει την ζωην του ανθρωπου·
 
kai exapantos to aima sas, to aima tis zois sas, thelo ekzitisei ek tis cheiros pantos zoou thelo ekzitisei afto, kai ek tis cheiros tou anthropou: ek tis cheiros pantos adelfou aftou thelo ekzitisei tin zoin tou anthropou:
and spilling your blood, the blood of your life, I will seek it from the hand of all life, I will seek it, and from the hand of man; from the hand of every brother, I will seek the life of man;
6 οστις χυση αιμα ανθρωπου, υπο ανθρωπου θελει χυθη το αιμα αυτου· διοτι κατ' εικονα Θεου εποιησεν ο Θεος τον ανθρωπον·
 
ostis chysi aima anthropou, ypo anthropou thelei chythi to aima aftou: dioti kat' eikona Theou epoiisen o Theos ton anthropon:
He that sheds man's blood, under man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God hath God made man;
7 σεις δε αυξανεσθε και πληθυνεσθε, πολλαπλασιαζεσθε επι της γης, και πληθυνεσθε επ' αυτης.
 
seis de afxanesthe kai plithynesthe, pollaplasiazetai epi tis gis, kai plithynesthe ep' aftis.
but ye increase and multiply, multiply upon the earth, and multiply upon it.
8 [] Και ειπεν ο Θεος προς τον Νωε και προς τους υιους αυτου μετ' αυτου, λεγων,
 
[] Kai eipen o Theos pros ton Noe kai pros tous yious aftou met' aftou, legon,
[] And God said to Noah and to his sons with him, saying,
9 Και εγω, ιδου, στηνω την διαθηκην μου προς εσας, και προς το σπερμα σας υστερον απο σας·
 
Kai ego, idou, stino tin diathikin mou pros esas, kai pros to sperma sas ysteron apo sas:
And I, behold, make my covenant unto you, and unto your seed after you;
10 και προς παν εμψυχον ζωον, το οποιον ειναι με σας, εκ των πτηνων, εκ των κτηνων και εκ παντων των ζωων της γης, τα οποια ειναι με σας· απο παντος του εξελθοντος εκ της κιβωτου, εως παντος ζωου της γης·
 
kai pros pan empsychon zoon, to opoion einai me sas, ek ton ptinon, ek ton ktinon kai ek panton ton zoon tis gis, ta opoia einai me sas: apo pantos tou exelthontos ek tis kivotou, eos pantos zoou tis gis:
and to every living thing that is with you, from the birds, from the animals, and from all the animals of the earth that are with you; from everything that comes out of the ark, to every living thing on the earth;
11 και στηνω την διαθηκην μου προς εσας· και δεν θελει πλεον εξολοθρευθη πασα σαρξ απο των υδατων του κατακλυσμου· ουδε θελει εισθαι πλεον κατακλυσμος δια να φθειρη την γην.
 
kai stino tin diathikin mou pros esas: kai den thelei pleon exolothrefthi pasa sarx apo ton ydaton tou kataklysmou: oude thelei eisthai pleon kataklysmos dia na ftheiri tin gin.
and I make my covenant with you; and no more will all flesh be destroyed by the waters of the flood; no more will there be a flood to destroy the earth.
12 [] Και ειπεν ο Θεος, Τουτο ειναι το σημειον της διαθηκης, την οποιαν εγω καμνω μεταξυ εμου και υμων και παντος εμψυχου ζωου το οποιον ειναι με σας, εις γενεας αιωνιους·
 
[] Kai eipen o Theos, Touto einai to simeion tis diathikis, tin opoian ego kamno metaxy emou kai ymon kai pantos empsychou zoou to opoion einai me sas, eis geneas aionious:
[] And God said, This is the sign of the covenant, which I make between me and you and every living soul that is with you, for generations forever;
13 Θετω το τοξον μου εν τη νεφελη, και θελει εισθαι εις σημειον διαθηκης μεταξυ εμου και της γης·
 
Theto to toxon mou en ti nefeli, kai thelei eisthai eis simeion diathikis metaxy emou kai tis gis:
I place my bow in the cloud, and it will be a sign of a covenant between me and the earth;
14 και οταν συννεφωσω νεφελην επι της γης, θελει φανη το τοξον εν τη νεφελη·
 
kai otan synnefoso nefelin epi tis gis, thelei fani to toxon en ti nefeli:
and when I make a cloud over the earth, the bow will appear in the cloud;
15 και θελω ενθυμηθη την διαθηκην μου, την μεταξυ εμου και υμων, και παντος εμψυχου ζωου εκ πασης σαρκος· και τα υδατα δεν θελουσιν εισθαι πλεον εις κατακλυσμον δια να εξαλειψωσι πασαν σαρκα·
 
kai thelo enthymithi tin diathikin mou, tin metaxy emou kai ymon, kai pantos empsychou zoou ek pasis sarkos: kai ta ydata den thelousin eisthai pleon eis kataklysmon dia na exaleipsosi pasan sarka:
and I want my covenant to be remembered, between me and you, and every living thing of all flesh; and the waters shall not be in a flood to destroy all flesh;
16 και το τοξον θελει εισθαι εν τη νεφελη· και θελω βλεπει αυτο, δια να ενθυμωμαι την παντοτεινην διαθηκην την μεταξυ Θεου και παντος εμψυχου ζωου εκ πασης σαρκος ητις ειναι επι της γης.
 
kai to toxon thelei eisthai en ti nefeli: kai thelo vlepei afto, dia na enthymomai tin pantoteinin diathikin tin metaxy Theou kai pantos empsychou zoou ek pasis sarkos itis einai epi tis gis.
and the archer wants to be in the cloud; and I want him to see it, in order to remember the eternal covenant between God and every living thing of all flesh that is on the earth.
17 Και ειπεν ο Θεος προς τον Νωε, Τουτο ειναι το σημειον της διαθηκης, την οποιαν εστησα μεταξυ εμου και πασης σαρκος ητις ειναι επι της γης.
 
Kai eipen o Theos pros ton Noe, Touto einai to simeion tis diathikis, tin opoian estisa metaxy emou kai pasis sarkos itis einai epi tis gis.
And God said to Noah, This is the sign of the covenant, which I made between me and all flesh that is on the earth.

Noah’s Shame and Canaan’s Curse

18 [] Ησαν δε οι υιοι του Νωε, οι εξελθοντες εκ της κιβωτου, Σημ και Χαμ και Ιαφεθ. Ο δε Χαμ ητο πατηρ του Χανααν.
 
[] Isan de oi yioi tou Noe, oi exelthontes ek tis kivotou, Sim kai Cham kai Iafeth. O de Cham ito patir tou Chanaan.
[] And the sons of Noah, who came out of the ark, were Shem and Ham and Japheth. De Ham was the father of Canaan.
19 Οι τρεις ουτοι ειναι οι υιοι του Νωε, και εκ τουτων διεσπαρησαν εις πασαν την γην.
 
Oi treis outoi einai oi yioi tou Noe, kai ek touton diesparisan eis pasan tin gin.
These three are the sons of Noah, and from these they scattered throughout the earth.
20 Και ηρχισεν ο Νωε να ηναι γεωργος και εφυτευσεν αμπελωνα·
 
Kai irchisen o Noe na inai georgos kai efytefsen ampelona:
And Noah began to be a farmer and planted vineyards;
21 και επιεν εκ του οινου και εμεθυσθη, και εγυμνωθη εν τη σκηνη αυτου.
 
kai epien ek tou oinou kai emethysthi, kai egymnothi en ti skini aftou.
and she became drunk with the wine, and stripped herself in his tent.
22 Και ειδεν ο Χαμ, ο πατηρ του Χανααν, την γυμνωσιν του πατρος αυτου· και ανηγγειλε τουτο προς τους δυο αδελφους αυτου εξω.
 
Kai eiden o Cham, o patir tou Chanaan, tin gymnosin tou patros aftou: kai aningeile touto pros tous dyo adelfous aftou exo.
And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brothers outside.
23 Και λαβοντες ο Σημ και ο Ιαφεθ το ενδυμα, επεθηκαν αυτο επι τα δυο αυτων νωτα· και βαδισαντες οπισθονωτα, εσκεπασαν την γυμνωσιν του πατρος αυτων· και τα προσωπα αυτων ησαν προς τα οπισω, και την γυμνωσιν του πατρος αυτων δεν ειδον.
 
Kai lavontes o Sim kai o Iafeth to endyma, epethikan afto epi ta dyo afton nota: kai vadisantes opisthonota, eskepasan tin gymnosin tou patros afton: kai ta prosopa afton isan pros ta opiso, kai tin gymnosin tou patros afton den eidon.
And when Shem and Japheth took the garment, they put it on their two backs; and walking backwards, they covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were towards the back, and I did not see the nakedness of their father.
24 [] Ανανηψας δε ο Νωε απο του οινου αυτου, εμαθεν οσα εκαμεν εις αυτον ο υιος αυτου ο νεωτερος.
 
[] Ananipsas de o Noe apo tou oinou aftou, emathen osa ekamen eis afton o yios aftou o neoteros.
[] And Noah revived from his wine, his younger son knew what we did to him.
25 Και ειπεν, Επικαταρατος ο Χανααν· δουλος των δουλων θελει εισθαι εις τους αδελφους αυτου.
 
Kai eipen, Epikataratos o Chanaan: doulos ton doulon thelei eisthai eis tous adelfous aftou.
And he said, Cursed is Canaan; he will be a servant of servants to his brothers.

Shem’s Blessing and Noah’s Death

26 Και ειπεν, Ευλογητος Κυριος ο Θεος του Σημ. Και ο Χανααν θελει εισθαι δουλος εις αυτον·
 
Kai eipen, Evlogitos Kyrios o Theos tou Sim. Kai o Chanaan thelei eisthai doulos eis afton:
And he said, Blessed is the Lord God of Sem. And Canaan will be his servant;
27 ο Θεος θελει πλατυνει τον Ιαφεθ, και θελει κατοικησει εν ταις σκηναις του Σημ, ο δε Χανααν θελει εισθαι δουλος εις αυτον·
 
o Theos thelei platynei ton Iafeth, kai thelei katoikisei en tais skinais tou Sim, o de Chanaan thelei eisthai doulos eis afton:
God will enlarge Japheth, and he will dwell in the tents of Shem, and Canaan will be his servant;
28 [] Και εζησεν ο Νωε μετα τον κατακλυσμον τριακοσια πεντηκοντα ετη.
 
[] Kai ézise o Noe meta ton kataklysmo triakosia pentikonta eti.
[] And Noah lived after the flood three hundred and fifty years.
29 Και εγειναν πασαι αι ημεραι του Νωε εννεακοσια πεντηκοντα ετη· και απεθανε.
 
Kai éginan pasai ai imerai tou Noe enniakosia pentikonta eti: kai apethane.
And all the days of Noah were nine hundred and fifty years, and he died.
