And Maalalel lived threescore and five years, and begat Jared;

and all the days of Maalalel were eight hundred and ninety-five years: and he died.
God Takes Up Enoch
And Jared lived a hundred and sixty-two years, and begat Enoch;
And Jared lived after he begat Enoch eight hundred years, and begat sons and daughters;
and all the days of Jared were nine hundred and sixty-two years: and he died.
[] And Enoch lived sixty-five years, and begat Methuselah;
and Enoch walked after God, after he begat Methuselah, three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters;
and all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty-five years.
And Enoch wandered after God, and he was not found any more, for God moved him.
From Methuselah to Noah
[] And Methuselah lived one hundred and eighty-seven years, and begat Lamech;
And Methuselah lived, after he begat Lamech, seven hundred and eighty-two years, and begat sons and daughters;
and all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred and sixty-nine years: and he died.
[] And Lamech lived a hundred and eighty-two years, and begat a son;
and he called his name Noah, saying, This will relieve us from our work, and from the toil of our hands, because of the earth which the Lord cursed.
And Lamech lived, after he begat Noah, five hundred and ninety-five years, and begat sons and daughters;
and all the days of Lamech were seven hundred and seventy-seven years: and he died.
And Noah was five hundred years old: and Noah begat Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
