1 天地萬物都造齊了。
 
Tiāndì wànwù dōu zào qíle.
All things in heaven and earth were created.
2 到第七日、上帝造物的工已經完畢、就在第七日歇了他一切的工、安息了。
 
Dào dì qī rì, shàngdì zàowù de gōng yǐjīng wánbì, jiù zài dì qī rì xiēle tā yīqiè de gōng, ānxíle.
On the seventh day God had finished His work in creating His creation, and He rested from all His work on the seventh day.
3 上帝賜福給第七日、定爲聖日、因爲在這日上帝歇了他一切創造的工、就安息了。○
 
Shàngdì cì fú gěi dì qī rì, dìng wèi shèng rì, yīnwèi zài zhè rì shàngdì xiēle tā yīqiè chuàngzào de gōng, jiù ānxíle.￮
God blessed the seventh day and hallowed it, because on it God rested from all his work in creation. ○

Man and Woman in the Garden

The First Man - Adam
4 創造天地的來歷、在耶和華上帝造天地的日子、乃是這樣．
 
Chuàngzào tiāndì de láilì, zài yēhéhuá shàngdì zào tiāndì de rìzǐ, nǎi shì zhèyàng.
This is the history of the creation of the heavens and the earth, in the day when the Lord God created the heavens and the earth.
5 野地還沒有草木、田間的菜蔬還沒有長起來、因爲耶和華上帝還沒有降雨在地上、也沒有人耕地。
 
Yědì hái méiyǒu cǎomù, tiánjiān de càishū hái méiyǒu zhǎng qǐlái, yīnwèi yēhéhuá shàngdì hái méiyǒu jiàngyǔ zài dìshàng, yě méiyǒu rén gēngdì.
There is no grass in the field yet, and no vegetation has grown in the field, because the LORD God has not yet sent rain on the earth, and there is no one to plow the land.
6 但有霧氣從地上騰、滋潤遍地。
 
Dàn yǒu wùqì cóng dìshàng téng, zīrùn biàndì.
But a mist rises from the ground and moistens the land.
7 耶和華上帝用地上的塵土造人、將生氣吹在他鼻孔裏、他就成了有靈的活人、 名呌 亞當 。 名呌
 
Yēhéhuá shàngdì yòngdì shàng de chéntǔ zào rén, jiāng shēngqì chuī zài tā bíkǒng lǐ, tā jiù chéngle yǒu líng de huó rén, míng jiào yàdāng. Míng jiào
Jehovah God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and he became a living being named Adam. Famous person

8 耶和華上帝在東方的 伊甸 立了一個園子、把所造的人安置在那裏。
 
Yēhéhuá shàngdì zài dōngfāng de yī diàn lìle yīgè yuánzǐ, bǎ suǒ zào de rén ānzhì zài nàlǐ.
The LORD God planted a garden in Eden in the east and placed the man he created there.
9 耶和華上帝使各樣的樹從地裏長出來、可以悅人的眼目、 其上的果子 好作食物．園子當中又有生命樹、和分別善惡的樹。 其上的果子
 
Yēhéhuá shàngdì shǐ gè yàng de shù cóng de lǐ zhǎng chūlái, kěyǐ yuè rén de yǎnmù, qí shàng de guǒzǐ hǎo zuò shíwù. Yuánzǐ dāngzhōng yòu yǒu shēngmìng shù, hé fēnbié shàn è de shù. Qí shàng de guǒzǐ
The LORD God made out of the ground every tree to grow, which was pleasant to the sight and whose fruit was good for food. Also in the garden were the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. the fruit on it
10 有河從 伊甸 流出來滋潤那園子、從那裏分爲四道。
 
Yǒu hé cóng yī diàn liúchū lái zīrùn nà yuánzǐ, cóng nàlǐ fēn wèi sì dào.
A river flowed out of Eden to water the garden, and from there it divided into four channels.
11 第一道名呌 比遜 、就是環繞 哈腓拉 全地的．在那裏有金子、
 
Dì yī dào míng jiào bǐ xùn, jiùshì huánrào hā féi lā quán dì de. Zài nàlǐ yǒu jīnzǐ,
The first line is called Pison, which surrounds the whole land of Havilah. There is gold there,
12 並且那地的金子是好的．在那裏又有珍珠和紅瑪瑙。
 
Bìngqiě nà dì de jīnzǐ shì hǎo de. Zài nàlǐ yòu yǒu zhēnzhū hé hóng mǎnǎo.
And the gold of that land is good. There were also pearls and onyx.
13 第二道河名呌 基訓 、就是環繞 古實 全地的。
 
Dì èr dào hé míng jiào jīxùn, jiùshì huánrào gǔ shí quán dì de.
The name of the second river was Gihon, which surrounded the whole land of Cush.
14 第三道河名呌 希底結 、流在 亞述 的東邊。第四道河就是 伯拉 河。
 
Dì sān dào hé míng jiào xī dǐ jié, liú zài yà shù de dōngbian. Dì sì dào hé jiùshì bó lā hé.
The third river was named Hiddekel and flowed to the east of Assyria. The fourth river is the Euphrates River.
15 耶和華上帝將那人安置在 伊甸 園、使他修理看守。
 
Yēhéhuá shàngdì jiāng nà rén ānzhì zài yīdiànyuán, shǐ tā xiūlǐ kānshǒu.
The Lord God placed the man in the Garden of Eden to work it and to keep it.
16 耶和華上帝吩咐他說、園中各樣樹上的果子、你可以隨意喫．
 
Yēhéhuá shàngdì fēnfù tā shuō, yuán zhōng gè yàng shù shàng de guǒzǐ, nǐ kěyǐ suíyì chī.
The LORD God commanded him, saying, "You may freely eat of any tree of the garden."
17 只是分別善惡樹上的果子、你不可喫、因爲你喫的日子必定死。
 
Zhǐshì fēnbié shàn è shù shàng de guǒzǐ, nǐ bùkě chī, yīnwèi nǐ chī de rìzǐ bìdìng sǐ.
But you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for in the day you eat from it you will surely die.
The First Woman - Eve
18 耶和華上帝說、那人獨居不好、我要爲他造一個配偶幫助他。
 
Yēhéhuá shàngdì shuō, nà rén dú jū bù hǎo, wǒ yào wèi tā zào yīgè pèi'ǒu bāngzhù tā.
The LORD God said, It is not good for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper.
19 耶和華上帝用土所造成的野地各樣走獸、和空中各樣飛鳥、都帶到那人面前看他呌甚麽．那人怎樣呌各樣的活物、那就是他的名字。
 
Yēhéhuá shàngdì yòngtǔ suǒ zàochéng de yědì gè yàng zǒushòu, hé kōngzhōng gè yàng fēiniǎo, dōu dài dào nà rén miànqián kàn tā jiào shènmó. Nà rén zěnyàng jiào gè yàng de huó wù, nà jiùshì tā de míngzì.
Out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to the man to see what he was doing. How the man eats every living creature, that is his name.
20 那人便給一切牲畜、和空中飛鳥、野地走獸都起了名．只是那人沒有遇見配偶幫助他。
 
Nà rén biàn gěi yīqiè shēngchù, hé kōngzhōng fēiniǎo, yědì zǒushòu dōu qǐle míng. Zhǐshì nà rén méiyǒu yùjiàn pèi'ǒu bāngzhù tā.
The man gave names to all the livestock, the birds of the air, and the beasts of the field. It’s just that the man didn’t meet a spouse to help him.
21 耶和華上帝使他沉睡、他就睡了．於是取下他的一條肋骨、又把肉合起來。
 
Yēhéhuá shàngdì shǐ tā chénshuì, tā jiù shuìle. Yúshì qǔ xià tā de yītiáo lèigǔ, yòu bǎ ròu hé qǐlái.
The LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon him, and he fell into a deep sleep. So he took one of his ribs and closed up the flesh.
22 耶和華上帝就用那人身上所取的肋骨、造成一個女人、領他到那人跟前。
 
Yēhéhuá shàngdì jiù yòng nà rén shēnshang suǒ qǔ de lèigǔ, zàochéng yīgè nǚrén, lǐng tā dào nà rén gēnqián.
And the rib that the Lord God had taken from the man formed a woman, and brought him to the man.
23 那人說、這是我骨中的骨、肉中的肉、可以稱他爲女人、因爲他是從男人身上取出來的。
 
Nà rén shuō, zhè shì wǒ gǔ zhōng de gǔ, ròu zhōng de ròu, kěyǐ chēng tā wèi nǚrén, yīnwèi tā shì cóng nánrén shēnshang qǔ chūlái de.
The man said, This is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh. Call her woman, because he was taken from man.
24 因此、人要離開父母、與妻子連合、二人成爲一體。
 
Yīncǐ, rén yào líkāi fùmǔ, yǔ qīzǐ liánhé, èr rén chéngwèi yītǐ.
Therefore a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.
Naked - Not Ashamed
25 當時夫妻二人、赤身露體、並不羞恥。
 
Dāngshí fūqī èr rén, chìshēn lù tǐ, bìng bù xiūchǐ.
At that time, the couple was naked and not ashamed.
