जब आदम अपनी पत्नी हव्वा के पास गया तब उसने गर्भवती होकर कैन को जन्म दिया और कहा, “मैंने यहोवा की सहायता से एक पुत्र को जन्म दिया है।” jab aadam apanee patnee havva ke paas gaya tab usane garbhavatee hokar kain ko janm diya aur kaha, “mainne yahova kee sahaayata se ek putr ko janm diya hai.” When Adam went to his wife Eve, she became pregnant and gave birth to Cain and said, “I have given birth to a son with the help of the Lord.”
When Adam went to his wife Eve, she became pregnant and gave birth to Cain and said, “I have given birth to a son with the help of the Lord.”
Cain and Abel
Cain and Abel
When Adam went to his wife Eve, she became pregnant and gave birth to Cain and said, “I have given birth to a son with the help of the Lord.”
Then she also gave birth to his brother Abel, Abel became a shepherd of sheep, but Cain became a farmer who cultivated the land.
The First Murder
After a few days, Cain brought some of the produce of the land as an offering to the Lord. (Jude 1:11)
And Abel also brought as an offering the firstlings of his sheep and their fat; Then the Lord accepted Abel and his offering (Heb. 11:4)
But he did not accept Cain and his offering. Then Cain became very angry, and his face was filled with sadness.
Then Jehovah said to Cain, “Why are you angry? And why is there sadness on your face?
If you do good, will your gift not be accepted? And if you do not do good, sin lurks at the door, and it will long for you, and you must master it.”
Then Cain said something to his brother Abel; And while they were in the field, Cain attacked his brother Abel and killed him.
Then Jehovah asked Cain, "Where is your brother Abel?" He said, “Don't know; Am I my brother's keeper?"
He said, “What have you done? Your brother's blood is crying out for me from the ground! (Heb. 12:24)
Therefore now you are cursed on behalf of the land which has opened its mouth to drink your brother's blood from your hand.
Even if you cultivate the land, you will not get its full yield again, and you will be a wanderer and a fugitive on the earth.”
Then Cain said to Jehovah, “My punishment is unbearable.
Behold, you have driven me out this day from the earth and I will be hidden from your sight and will be a wanderer and a fugitive on the earth; And whoever finds me will kill me.”
Therefore the Lord said to him, “Whoever kills Cain will be avenged sevenfold.” And the Lord set a mark for Cain, lest anyone find him and kill him.
Then Cain went out from the presence of the Lord and lived in the land of Nod, which is to the east of Eden.
The Descendants of Cain
When Cain went to his wife she became pregnant and gave birth to Enoch; Then Cain built a city and named that city Enoch after his son.
Enoch begat Irad, and Irad begat Mehujael, and Mehujael begat Methusael, and Methusael begat Lamech.
Lamech took two wives: one named Adah and the other named Zillah.
Adah gave birth to Jabal. He was the father of those who lived in tents and earned their living by rearing animals.
His brother's name was Jubaal: he was the father of those who played the harp and the flute.
And Silla also gave birth to a son named Tubal-cain: he was a maker of all edged weapons of brass and iron. And Tubal-cain's sister was Naamah.
Lamech said to his wives, “Adah and Zillah, listen to me; give ear to my words, you wives of Lamech: I have killed a man who hurt me, a young man who hurt me.
When Cain will be avenged sevenfold. So seventy-seven times Lamech will be taken.”
Seth and Enosh
And Adam returned to his wife; And she gave birth to a son and named him Seth, saying, “God has provided me with another descendant instead of Abel, whom Cain killed.” (Gen. 5:3,4)
And Seth also had a son and named him Enosh. From that time people started praying to Jehovah.
